U3 Tunnel
Following four years of intensive construction, the U3
Potsdamer Platz station in Berlin was finally openend in
April 2007 as a gala and events venue. The original tube
station has never actually had a train run through it.
Housing some 3 500 sqm of event space the U3Tunnel is
just 100 m or so from the parliament building, about 50m
from the Bundesrat, ca. 2 km from the Reichstag, about
1.1
km from Brandenburger Tor and just 40 m or so from
the Sony Center. U3 Tunnel is at the very pulse of this
vibrant centre.
